Thoughtful travel planning deserves thoughtful work

Travel is already a significant investment, so I do not add professional fees simply for the sake of charging them. My planning fees reflect the time, research and care that go into turning a collection of possibilities into a trip that genuinely works for you, from comparing the right options and coordinating the details to monitoring your bookings and helping you feel prepared before you leave.

Your fee will always be explained before planning begins, including what is covered and what could involve an additional charge. No mysterious numbers appearing out of the travel fog.

Because The Milestone Society was created with solo women in mind, solo travellers receive a reduced planning rate. Travelling alone can already mean paying the dreaded “solo tax” on rooms, cruises and tours. I cannot eliminate those supplier costs, but I can make sure my own fee does not add another unnecessary barrier.

The goal is simple: professional planning that respects both your travel budget and the work required to take good care of your trip.

Before any fee is charged

Every trip begins with a complimentary 30-minute discovery call. This gives us a chance to talk about what you have in mind and allows me to determine where your trip falls within the fee structure. You will receive a clear professional-fee quote before any research or planning begins.

Standard fees apply to two travellers sharing substantially the same itinerary, flights and rooming arrangements. An incremental fee applies for each additional traveller. Trips involving different itineraries, departure points, flights or rooming needs may require a customized quote.

Parties of eight or more are considered a group and fall under The Milestone Society’s group-travel pricing.

All fees below are in Canadian dollars and subject to 13% HST.

Custom Trip Planning

Focused Custom Trip

Ideal for a straightforward trip centred around one city, destination or region. Includes accommodation research, transportation guidance, a selection of suitable experiences, booking of agreed components and a personalized digital itinerary.

Solo traveller: $250
Two travellers: $325
Each additional traveller: $75

Multi-Stop Custom Trip

Designed for trips visiting two or three cities or regions. Includes multiple accommodations, transportation between destinations, experience recommendations, booking coordination and a personalized day-by-day itinerary.

Complex Custom Trip

For trips involving four or more stops, multiple countries, complicated transportation or a combination of independently and professionally booked arrangements. Includes the additional research and coordination required to bring all the moving pieces together.

Bespoke Custom Trip

For longer or highly customized trips involving multiple countries, different departure points, complex flights, special requirements or travellers following different arrangements. The fee is determined after your complimentary discovery call.

Cruise Planning

Standard Cruise Planning

For travellers who need help finding and booking the right cruise and cabin. Includes a curated comparison of up to three suitable sailings, cabin guidance, booking management, an insurance quote and standard digital travel documents. Supplier-packaged flights and transfers are included when they are selected as part of the cruise reservation.

Cruise with Additional Arrangements

For cruises requiring more than the cruise reservation itself. Includes everything in Standard Cruise Planning, plus coordination of arrangements such as a pre- or post-cruise hotel, separate transfers or additional excursion guidance.

Complex Cruise Journey

For cruises involving extensive comparisons, a change in destination, complicated transportation, multiple pre- or post-cruise arrangements, significant port research or travellers with different needs. The final fee is confirmed after the discovery call.

Cruise with Custom Flight Planning

For cruises requiring flights to be researched and booked separately. Includes cruise planning, flight comparisons, embarkation timing, arrival guidance and coordination between the cruise and air arrangements.

For an all-inclusive, guided tour or vacation package requiring separately planned flights, hotels, transfers or other independent arrangements.

For international flights booked without a larger trip-planning service. Includes route and fare research, connection review and booking assistance. Multi-city or otherwise complicated flights may require a customized fee.

For a standalone hotel reservation when no other trip planning is required. Includes property comparison, room-category guidance and booking management.

Travel Insurance

Every traveller receives an insurance quote so they can make an informed decision about protecting their trip. There is no professional service fee for an insurance-only booking.

Optional Enhanced Personal Support

For travellers who prefer in-person appointments, printed travel documents or hands-on assistance with processes normally completed online. This service is added to the applicable planning fee and customized according to the support required.

Additional fee: From $150 per booking

Different itineraries, flights, departure points or rooming arrangements may require a customized quote. Major changes in destination, dates or trip direction after research has begun may also require an additional planning fee. No additional paid work will be completed without your approval
